#36 JohnBo’s Sunday Cellpic

Hey folks,

After coming across JohnBo’s blog recently I decided to take part in his Sunday Cellpic challenge – the rules are any picture of any subject but it must have been taken on a phone, iPad etc.

My entry for this week is Cove Quarry, taken on my early morning cross country run.

The sandstone from this quarry has been mined since at least the 1700s and occasionally still is. Some sources online say that cove red sandstone was used to build steps to the Statue of Liberty in New York, as well as several other buildings in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the eastern seaboard of the US.

Thanks for visiting,

Kaylin x

  1. Cove Quarry looks like a beautiful place to spend some quality time on a nice spring day, even if you’re taking a break from your exercise routine. 🙂

    1. It certainly is, even more so when not exercising and I sit for a while to take it all in 🙂
