Hey folks, how are we all?
Today’s picture is of some lovely red haws (the name for the berries of the hawthorn tree) hiding under some leaves during a rain storm.
You can make jams and sauces out of jaws, but they’re not my favourite to be honest. Though I might get some for a sweet haw chilli sauce a friend found online. We have made A LOT of jam already this autumn and I still have sloes (blackthorn berries) in the freezer to sort into jam as well. I love the abundance of berries at this time of year!
