Today’s photo is of a very happy Muscovy duck!

Muscovy ducks are a whole species of their own: whereas most other types of duck are related to Mallards, Muscovy ducks are actually more closely related to geese.

Muscovy ducks aren’t native to the UK but the caravan park near me has a group of them in their pond. In the summer they had chicks and this is one almost grown up. It’s been nice watching grow from cute little chicks 🙂
