I took this shot on a photo trip to my old home city of Glasgow back in January. It was a chilly day, and I think that comes through in this picture; somehow, the light feels cold. I love the architecture in this part of the city. When I lived in Glasgow, the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), which can be seen on the right through the archway, was a place I regularly visited as much for the art as for the architecture of the building itself, and of course, the library in the basement. The GoMA library isn’t nearly as big as the Mitchell library (also a favourite haunt), but it always had a cosy, quiet feel to it despite being in the heart of the city, which I loved.
Prints are available from my Etsy store.
